From Nurse Practitioner to Luxury Sleepwear Founder | The Story Behind Moon and Mare

There are two parts of my life that people are often surprised to learn exist side by side.

One is my career in healthcare. I've spent the last 15 years as a nurse, and today I continue caring for patients as a nurse practitioner.

The other is Moon and Mare—a luxury sleepwear brand built around comfort, quality, and the belief that slowing down is one of the greatest luxuries we can give ourselves.

At first glance, they seem like completely different worlds.

To me, they've always been connected.

A Career Built Around Caring for Others

Working in healthcare teaches you a lot about people.

You celebrate milestones, navigate difficult moments, and help patients through some of the most important days of their lives. While every patient is different, one thing I've noticed throughout my career is how often people overlook one of the foundations of feeling well:

Working in healthcare has reminded me that taking care of yourself isn't selfish—it's necessary.

Why I Started Moon and Mare

I didn't start Moon and Mare because I left healthcare.

In fact, I still work in healthcare every day.

Moon and Mare simply became another way to share something I deeply believe in: creating space to rest.
